Factors to Consider When You’re Shopping for a Power Lift Chair in Temecula, CA

If getting up and down from your easy chair isn’t as easy as it once was for you or a loved one, you might want to consider investing in a power lift chair. Lift chairs offer comfortable seating that is simple to get into and out of, similar to recliners. Besides providing health benefits, these chairs can also relieve joint pain and pressure, improve blood circulation, and reduce inflammation. Moreover, as they are easier to get into and out of than standard chairs, power lift recliners help to improve the safety of the individual they are designed for, while also allowing them to maintain their independence.

Having so many benefits, a power lift chair is much more than an easy chair; it’s an indispensable piece of equipment. Choosing which power lift chair will best suit your needs or the needs of your loved one can seem overwhelming, however, due to the many styles and types available. In order to make the process less overwhelming, here are a few things to consider when shopping for power lift chairs in your Temecula, CA location.

The Positions

There is no doubt that the number of positions is the most important thing to consider when shopping for a power lift chair. There are three different options to choose from when visiting a Temecula, CA power lift chair distributor: two-position chairs, three-position chairs, and infinite position chairs. Power lift chairs with two positions are the simplest, as the back needs to recline in order for the footrest to rise, and their maximum recline is 45 degrees. On a chair with three positions, the back also needs to recline, but it can fully recline. However, infinite position power lift chairs have two motors; one for the back and one for the footrest. It has two motors that are independent of each other, so it can recline both your back and feet independently. You can either sit straight while reclining your feet or fully recline your back and feet at the same time.

The Fit

Furthermore, you’ll want to consider the fit of the power lift chair recliner in addition to its number of positions. The larger the power lift chair, the deeper the cushion will be; the larger the chair, the more comfortable it will be. You need to take into consideration the fit of the chair, because it will affect not only the comfort of the individual, but also the ease of use of the chair. As an example, although it would seem that the larger the chair, the more comfortable it will be, in reality, the cushion may be too deep in order for the user to touch the ground or get into and out of it. In the same way, a chair that is too small for the user could cause backache. A power lift chair retailer in Temecula, CA is ideally suited to test many different models.

The Material

Another important factor to consider when shopping for a power lift chair is the material. A reputable retailer of power lift chairs in Temecula, CA should carry a variety of models in an assortment of materials, including leather and different types of upholstery. As far as comfort and durability are concerned, the material that covers the lift chair will make a big difference. Leather may not be the best choice for an individual who runs hot, as it can trap heat and cause sweating; however, if the individual struggles with incontinence, leather might be a better choice. There are several different materials to choose from when working with a reputable power lift chair retailer in Temecula, CA. Decide which option best fits the individual’s needs by trying out different options.

Temecula is a city in southwestern Riverside County, California, United States. The city is a tourist and resort destination, with the Temecula Valley Wine Country, Old Town Temecula, the Temecula Valley Balloon & Wine Festival, the Temecula Valley International Film Festival, championship golf courses, and resort accommodations for tourists which contribute to the city’s economic profile. Although Temecula is geographically closer to downtown San Diego than downtown Los Angeles, it is considered part of the Greater Los Angeles area.

The area was inhabited by the Temecula Indians for hundreds of years before their contact with the Spanish missionaries (the people are now generally known as the Luiseños, after the nearby Mission San Luis Rey de Francia). Seven bands of Luiseño Indians inhabited the Temecula valley pre-contact. They were made up of the Pechanga, La Jolla, Soboba, Pala, Rincon, Pauma, and San Luis Rey bands (presently, all of the bands except the San Luis Rey are federally recognized tribes). The Pechanga Band of Luiseño believe their ancestors have lived in the Temecula area for more than 10,000 years, though ethnologists think they arrived at a more recent date. In Pechanga history, life on Earth began in the Temecula Valley. They call it “‘Éxva Temeéku”, the place of the union of Sky-father, and Earth-mother (“Tuukumit’pi Tamaayowit”). The Temecula Indians (“Temeekuyam”) lived at “Temeekunga”, or “the place of the sun”. Other popular interpretations of the name include “The sun that shines through the mist” or “Where the sun breaks through the mist”.

The first recorded Spanish visit occurred in October 1797, with a Franciscan padre, Father Juan Norberto de Santiago, and Captain Pedro Lisalde. Father Santiago kept a journal in which he noted seeing “Temecula … an Indian village”. The trip included the Lake Elsinore area and the Temecula Valley.

Little is known about the early 1800’s because Temecula records were destroyed in the fire that followed the 1906 San Francisco earthquake.
